About Me:: My name is Flea. I'm opinionated, passionate, and have a lust for life and for knowledge. I'm currently studying Sociology and Psychology at the University of Queensland. I'm doing so because I wan't to learn as much as I can about how humans and societies work so I can make this planet a better place for us all to exist.

Interests:: I like to read books about the creation and operation of the universe, black holes are cool. I also love to read novels, at the moment I'm seeking out as many Australian authors as I can because I feel we are under-represented in our own country when it comes to art and culture.
I like skateboarding and rollerskating. Next week I'm going to my first Roller Derby! Soooo excited! I also like indoor rock climbing but haven't done it in quite a while.
I love music, whether it be punk, regaee, folk, pop, electronica, metal, jazz, whatever. As long as it has some heart to it, no manufactured Top 40 stuff for me. I play the guitar and the flute, and hope to be putting together a new band soon, something punk/folk perhaps?
I'm very interested in politics and social issues. I'm a feminist and I'm not afraid to identify as one, unfortunately a lot of grrls and womyn are these days due to the stereotype of a feminist as a man hating, angry lesbian. Unfortunately the creation of this stereotype benifits the patriarchy grrls!

Favorite Bands:: Anti-Flag, Bikini Kill, Muse, Weezer, Hot Liquid Sex, Le Tigre, The Long Blondes, The Pipettes, The Spazzys, Patti Smith, Iggy and the Stooges, Jane's Addiction, The Cure, Foals, Greenday, Mates of State, Regurgitator, The Mouldy Peaches, Audio Porn... many more.

Pets:: I have a tom-cat named Little Cat (he's as big as a small dog!), unfortunately he is living at my parents house at the moment due to my need to rent a place. I'm thinking of adopting some rats soon.

My main influences are riot grrrl bands (of course haha). My most fave bands though are Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, Babes In Toyland, Heavens To Betsy, Sonic Youth, 7 Year Bitch, CocoRosie, Hole, Nirvana, Huggy Bear, etc. =^.^= I would love to jam with you!! I play guitar and I can play keyboards too.
