Untitled #37 – Just Imagine
Living a life that's unknown to me
harries my head, threads thought, squares spine.
The vines in my hand soon become spine
An itch in my throat, up comes a bee.
I walk a ways and come to a tree.
A much needed rest is soon what I find.
With closed eyes I see bugs on my mind;
Technicolor turtles offer me tea.
There in the woods, I can see my wife.
Shouting at me to do what I'm told;
Graveyards need checking before they are sold.
Windex in hand I run with a knife.
If only the stonely weren't so dead.
Dancing with skeletons isn't as fun,
Till you take them out; they melt in the sun.
I fear to fear what I already dread.
Awake; dry blood, tubes up my nose.
Tight white jacket strains me from moving.
A voice says, “No. nothing to eat this evening.”
I recognize her, a friend I suppose.
