For me there are not particularly any "guidlines" or 'specifications" for defending women who have been treated inequitably. I have noticed recently, however, that many feminists seem to pick and choose which victims of sexism to defend. To me this is a bit nonsensical. Any woman that has been exploited, be it media, or any other contributing factor should be represented equally by feminists.
