In the light of herarchies and women leading their own private wars with each other-or little skirmishes on the jobmarket I sometimes feel quite split up with regards to feminism.
However, I understand that you have to look at it from a rather scholarly point of view and that the overall structures shapes relationships among people as well--and who, by the way, claimed that among men there is always fair- play?
However, even though we have a female chancellor there still needs to be done a lot in Germany. There is not an equal amount of women in the parliaments or in the ministries. A unviversity is usually administered by a male centred staff. At the local council level feminism has, for several reasons, not yet yielded enough fruits.
Especially women who have young kids and need to work ususally have little to no time to develop their extra curricular skills and take part in voluntary activities.
